- ISTQB stands for ‘International Software Testing Qualification Board’ and is an organization consisting of software testing professional from each of the countries who are members of the ISTQB.

have the current version.
- The syllabus categorizes learning objectives into three levels :
§ K1: remember, recognize, recall
§
§ K2: understand , explain , give reasons , compare , classify , and summarize
§
§ K3: apply
Roughly 20 questions will be at the K1 level, 12 questions at the
K2 level, 8 questions at the K3 level.

- ISTQB uses two question formats: Basic and Roman.
Basic format questions include a simple stem – the actual question—followed by four response options (e.g.: options such as ‘A’, ‘B’, ‘C’, ‘D’,’a’,’b’,’c’,’d’)
Roman format questions include several statements in the stem. The four response options – choices for potential answers – are based on combinations of the statements (e.g.: ‘i’,’ii’,’iii’,’iv’,’I’,’II’,’III’,’IV’).
- Some countries require a passing score of 60% while others require you to correctly answer 25 out of 40 questions (62.5%).
